He was arrested after the rampage when it was determined that it was intentional.

The suspect had been arguing with the resident of the home about a ring and a cell phone. The man drove into the man, injuring him, and then hit four others before continuing into the home and stopping in the living room.

The five injured individuals were driven to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley and St. Rose Hospital in Hayward.

The suspect tried to flee but was captured. He is awaiting a court date.

She was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. The crash shut off power briefly.

Gregory Zitlaw, 49, was driving the Chevrolet pickup truck.

As the intersection approached, Mr. Zitlaw decreased his speed in order to make a left turn. Ms. Floyd, going more than 55 m.p.h. tried to pass him illegally by crossing the solid yellow line. Police report her pass was unsuccessful as she hit Zitlaw’s front end. Ms. Floyd’s vehicle overturned into a ditch on top of her, and she was ejected.

Glenn County police pronounced Ms. Floyd dead at the scene. Floyd had her 58 year old mother, 17 year old daughter, and 1 year old grandchild in the car. Her daughter, Margret Jones and grandchild Dustin Pearsallo were taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Ms. Jones incurred minor injuries; Pearsallo was taken as a precautionary measure.

A 1995 Jeep Cherokee SUV, driven by 31 year old Jeffrey Anderson of Santa Rosa was heading eastbound on Guerneville Road where the driver of the 2002 Honda, 47 year old Kathleen Acord, was situated. The Honda started to pull out into the path of the SUV. Sonoma police report the Honda Stopped for a moment but then abruptly accelerated. The SUV had the right of way, and then proceeded to hit the left driver-side door, killing Ms. Acord. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Santa Rosa EMS.

Her husband, Charles Chapman, a passenger, incurred major injuries and was brought to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital by California paramedics. Anderson was brought to the same hospital but sustained only minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation to determine the cause of the Honda’s sudden acceleration.

The driver of the Ford was 19 year old Adrian Pacificador of Vacaville, who was riding southbound and trying to pass another vehicle by cutting into their lane, according to Sonoma County police investigators. She then hit the Mercedes who was travelling in the same direction. 19 year old Lacey Stanley of Petaluma was the driver of the Mercedes. Pacificador’s car then lost control and hit a Dodge pick up truck. David Marney was the driver of that car, 25 years old. He is also from Petaluma.

Stanley was driving a 39 year old passenger, Manju Stanley. She ended up in Kaiser Medical Center in Santa Rosa. Pacificador was also taken to a local Sonoma County Hospital. The nature of their injuries were not disclosed. Traffic was delayed for an hour, and it is not certain whether Pacificador will be charged.

The driver of the Toyota was identified by Modesto police officers as Kevin Amilcar Orellana of Huntington Park. His car was speeding in and out of lanes when he lost control of his car and swayed into the left lane going north. He hit the right side of the pick up truck, spun leftward and went over the median with the pick up truck rolling over its roof. All three lanes were closed for four hours while an investigation was underway.

There were no passengers in either car, and both drivers had their safety belts on. Orellana did not incur any injuries but was booked on vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence charges in Stanislaus County.

Emergency crews and CHP went to the scene on northbound Interstate Highway 680 adjacent to El Pintado Road at approximately 1:40 a.m, reported CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano. The car had seemed to crash into the guardrail on Highway 680’s right side and then proceeded to roll over it, landing on to El Pintado Road.

There have been injuries, Caggiano said, but the extent of them has not been revealed.

Caggiano added that more than 50 feet of highway guardrail has been destroyed, and said that there is debris sprinkling the right lane of the highway where the accident occurred.

The mail truck went on fire and blocked all Highway 880 northbound lanes for about three hours. The two left lanes were opened as of 5:20 a.m., according to the CHP. The other lanes remained closed until 6:00 a.m. while the CHP removed the truck from the road.

One individual suffered injuries in the accident, and a Sigalert was issued at about 2:30 a.m, according to CHP Officer Robert Haven.

The driver of the car, a mother in her thirties, went through the fence and stopped on the sidewalk. The accident occurred at the Green Acres Elementary School. The driving mother was letting her child off at school, and California police authorities suggest the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

California police reported the pedestrian teacher was hit by a part of the fence and her son was pinned under the vehicle. The Subaru also crashed into a white Chevrolet Suburban SUV. Paramedics say the driver and her passenger child did not incur any injuries. However, the pedestrian teacher suffered head injuries. Her child only incurred minor injuries. The teacher and her son were taken by air by Santa Cruz County emergency medical employees to a nearby trauma center for medical care.
