A Contra Costa County jury found Jordan Taitano, responsbile for the October fatality of Mary Shepard, a 76-year-old woman from Arkansas. The accident occurred in El Sobrante after Mr. Taitano was released from prison and led police on a car chase.
The jury ruled out an accident as a cause of death.Ms. Shepard died at the scene. Two other passengers suffered moderate injuries and were sent to the hospital.
