A traffic collision occurred near Kaiser Permanente Hospital in the San Francisco Bay area. A Contra Costa County jury found Jordan Taitano, responsbile for the October fatality of Mary Shepard, a 76-year-old woman from Arkansas. The accident occurred in El Sobrante after Mr. Taitano was released from prison and led police on a car chase.

Midnight, Wednesday, June 3rd, an unidentified paraglider flew into a cliff approximately 200 feet above Mussel Rock Beach. The individual was stuck on a two-foot ledge that could not be reached from the ground.
