Larkspur Male Attacker Charged With Assault on Innocent Passenger on San Rafael Bus

Jonathan Baron Snedaker, 28, was arraigned on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious bodily injury and vandalism according to Deputy District Attorney Linda Witong.
If convicted, he could face up to seven years prison time.
Police received a 911 call regarding an assault at the San Rafael Transit Center Sunday morning, according to San Rafael Police.
Witnesses claimed that the suspect was going to disembark fromthe Route 70 bus from San Francisco, when he abruptly turned and hit another passenger with a hammer. The head of the hammer flew off upon impact.
The bus driver intervened and the suspect then fled the bus and pounded the windows from the outside, and shattered it.
Officer Timothy Horvath descended upon the scene and arrested the man. The 39-year-old victim was taken to Marin General Hosspital and treated for head wounds and released. The victim did not know his assailant. There were no other injuries.
