Oakland Reporter Dies After Being Stuck by Muni Train

Last week, we reported on William Brand, the Oakland Tribune reporter who was struck by a Muni train on February 8th. Today, Brand was pronounced dead from the injuries he received as a result of this tragic accident.
This Muni accident took place near Second and King at around 9 p.m. Brand was leaving an event and on his way home. An investigation into this accident continues. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brand family.
